Tadpoles-
This week sure was blisteringly hot (90’s everyday) but the Tadpoles managed to cool off with plenty of time in the pool and the gym. Thursday’s Wild Rapids Water Slide certainly helped! On Monday there was plenty of fun to be had at the Tropical Obstacle Course. This led to some friendly competition between the Tadpoles and Turtles. Tuesday was Ali’s last day and the kids gave her a long good-bye as they wished her well at Penn State. Greg was thoroughly splashed by all of his Tadpoles as they tried their hardest at the Dunk Tank and other various carnival games on Wednesday. The science clinic also began this week as the kids learned about planes, trees, polymers, and the classic volcano! With Friday we got to enjoy pizza and slushies. We would like to thank all the Tadpoles and their parents for a great summer! |

Turtles-
This week the Turtles finished out their summer with tons of fun activities. On Monday, the Turtles had a great start to the week with the Tropical Obstacle Course. Then on Wednesday, the Turtles got to visit the annual Carnival. Matthew, Colin, Danny and Amelia showed off their throwing accuracy dunking Ms. Tracy at the Dunk Tank. On Thursday Wild Rapids made its second appearance of the summer, which all the kids were happy about. As camp comes to a close, the kids find themselves thinking about the friends they made, the new skills they learned and the memories that will last a lifetime. |

We had a great summer this year; we can’t believe it is already over. We made lots of new friends and look forward to seeing them at school this year. To end camp we celebrated by dunking Ms. Tracy in the Dunk Tank and playing carnival games. And we cooled off by going down the Wild Rapids Water Slide. We had a great summer with the Geckos and can’t wait for next year. |

We can’t believe camp is already over. We have had such a fantastic summer! This week was tons of fun. We had a tropical obstacle course come to camp on Monday. We had races against the Toads. On Wednesday we had our end of summer carnival. We all played lots of cool games and won prizes. The best part was getting to dunk the counselors in the dunk tank. It was a blast. Thursday was the best day ever because Wild Rapids came back to camp and it is the best waterslide ever! On Friday we enjoyed some delicious slushies to end the week. The Frogs have had an amazing summer meeting new friends and playing lots of cool games. We are sad that summer is over but are excited to go back to school. See you next summer! |

On Wednesday they had the opportunity to dunk the counselors and play tons of fun games at the carnival. On Thursday they had a great time going down the Wild Rapids Water Slide and getting soaked. To finish off a great camp year the Toads are going to enjoy the slip and slide and some slushies. |

Snakes-
The last week of camp was awesome for the Snakes. It started off with a Tropical Obstacle course. It was fun to race through. We also did GaGa, sharks and minnows, and mat ball. We also played a lot of fun games on the playground. While we were at waterfront the Snakes kayaked, creek walked, and looked for fish. We raced on the racetrack, something that has been a favorite this summer. Science clinic was this week. Many of the campers in our group went and did some interesting experiments. Wednesday was the end of the summer carnival. There were games where you could win prizes. There was also a dunk tank. We dunked Mr. Joe and Ms. Tracy. Thursday there was the Wild Rapids water slide, it was so much fun. It has been a great summer and we’ve all enjoyed coming to camp every week. |

This last week of camp was something that we won’t forget. We had a special activity almost everyday and even though it was hot we still had fun. Monday was the Tropical Obstacle course where we got to race our friends. Wednesday we enjoyed a special carnival with games, a dunk tank and of course there were prizes for the winners. On Thursday we enjoyed the Wild Rapids Water Slide for the second and last time this summer. Lastly, on Friday we had a special snack…slushies!! Even though it is the end of camp and we will miss our new and old friends, we will have this wonderful summer to look back on. |

Crocodiles-
Ten is the end. After ten weeks, forty-nine days (camp was closed on July 3rd) the Malvern Day Camp summer is at an end. As Crocodiles counselor this summer I can say I learned a lot from the kids as I hope they have learned a lot from me too. The kids came to camp with a positive attitude that made working with them fun. JoAnne and I can truly say that it was the kid’s enthusiasm and energy that made the group work so well. I wish every one of the Crocodiles the best of luck this school year and in the future. It would be a privilege to have them in a group next year — JoAnne and Tyler |
