At Malvern Day Camp, maintaining the highest standards for a safe and healthy environment is of prime importance to us. Our health and safety policies and procedures go beyond the basic requirements to support a summer of new adventures and fun in an environment committed to safety.
A nurse is on-site during camp hours to administer first aid and nursing services and to monitor health and sanitation procedures throughout the camp. The nurse insures that health procedures are implemented, that first aid kits are maintained and that required medications are safeguarded and administered on schedule. Emergency transportation is available at all times in the event of illness or injury requiring advanced medical attention. Additionally, all Malvern Day Camp staff is First Aid and CPR certified.
On heat wave days, we offer plenty of liquids to keep campers hydrated and provide several alternate activities in our air conditioned facilities as well as extra opportunities to cool down in the pool and at the waterfront. On rainy days we make use of our gymnasium, bunkhouses and other indoor facilities for special games and activities.
Each Friday we provide lunch for the campers—check out the menu on the Event Calendar. Additionally, we serve two snacks daily and always have water available throughout the camp. Please be aware that Malvern Day Camp is both peanut-free and smoke-free!
All visitors are required to sign-in at the camp office where you will receive a visitor’s badge that must be worn while on the camp property. No one is allowed on the camp grounds without authorization.
